Dunkermotoren impressed the jury of Industrial Production magazine in this year's competition for the "INDUSTRIAL Production - handling award 2021". With the BG 95 dPro servo motor in combination with the NG 500 hub gearbox, Dunkermotoren achieved third place in the electrical automation category.
Maintainers are often faced with obsolete equipment that is no longer manufactured. To fight against obsolescence, Actemium Adour Pyrénées manufactured a 3D printer, by using 80% of recycled materials, to create custom parts to replace broken pieces for industrial clients.
The operator of a car wash line in Germany repeatedly had to replace bearings in the rotary unions of the system’s wash heads, leading to over €12,000 per annum for spare parts alone. However, maintenance costs were reduced to zero after replacing the bearings with NSK Molded-Oil deep groove ball bearings featuring DDU seals.
wenglor’s product family of inductive sensors with increased switching distances features enhanced performance in miniature design: A total of eight new sensors from the I03 and I04 series in the compact D3 and M4 housing are available for detecting metallic objects in confined systems.
During lockdown, we all spent a lot of time on the couch and some of us have gained a few pounds. But, when you open your crunchy bag of potato chips in the evening, have you ever stopped to think how many high-tech machines are involved in its production these days? The journey from potato to supermarket is a fascinating odyssey that involves a wide range of manufacturing and packaging machines. A host of machine builders are involved in developing and supplying specialist solutions for every step in the processing and packaging of foodstuffs. One of them is Tronrud Engineering from Eggemoen, near Oslo, in Norway. The company, which employs around 200 staff, supplies its customers with impressive, state-of-the-art packaging machines. Kjell Erik Meier is responsible for programming and automation of the machines at Tronrud. The TCP PN8 case packer is one of this high-tech machines.
With the return of the live, in-person SEMICON Europa, Critical Manufacturing will be taking the opportunity to highlight the advanced capabilities of its modern MES for the semiconductor industry.
Xiris Automation has recently released a triggering solution to make it much easier to capture images of pulsed welding processes. Normally, when using a weld camera to acquire images of a pulsed waveform, the amount of light present in the image will vary considerably as the amperage varies and the arc flashes, making consistent processing monitoring more difficult.
From 10 to 12 November 2021, the FMB trade fair once again brings together machine manufacturers and their suppliers. NORD DRIVESYSTEMS will be on site as an exhibitor in Bad Salzuflen (North Rhine-Westphalia) presenting the innovative DuoDrive geared motor, the energy-efficient IE5+ synchronous motor, the new decentralised NORDAC ON frequency inverter as well as the NORDAC PRO SK 500P control cabinet inverter.
