HMS Networks now extends its Ixxat® PC-interface portfolio with the multi-channel interface CAN-IB 640/PCIe that offers four channels each for CAN-FD/CAN and LIN connectivity.
STEMMER IMAGING AG has signed an agreement with Automation Technology for the distribution of it’s FebriScan systems - complete LWIR camera solutions for detecting elevated human body temperatures.
Amidst the COVID-19 pandemic where the ability to work from home has become an absolute necessity, NEXCOM can now help telecom and data centers across the world virtualize and expand capacity with its new NC 220FMS3 100GbE NIC module.
The Siemens’ Packaging Toolbox is now available in its entirety for the Simatic S7-1500 controller in the TIA Portal engineering framework. It offers users packaging specific libraries which can be integrated into existing or new machine applications as well as program blocks. The Toolbox supports international standards such as OMAC, PackML and Weihenstephan Standards. By adding or modifying function blocks it can be adapted to suit individual requirements, while at the same time saving the user time during engineering and commissioning through tested functions and software solutions.
Vision Components manufactures intelligent laser profilers for a wide range of applications.
The standard VCnano3D-Z models cover working distances from 50 mm to 2025 mm and between 40 mm and 1250 mm horizontal field of view. They provide high precision with resolutions down to 10 µm.
The IoT Solution Module combines Arrow’s engineering and global distribution capabilities with Panasonic Industry’s IoT modules based on the ST BlueTile (STEVAL-BCN002V1B) multi-sensor development kit. This combination enables customers to test their ideas easily and bring new IoT products to the market faster.
In the context of the Covid-19 epidemic, many companies with large facilities are looking for an effective disinfection solution to protect and reassure their employees. Most devices available for disinfection by fumigation are static and are used to treat each typical surface in turn, requiring the intervention of an operator who must be protected.
They also involve wet spraying, which could potentially cause damage, thus limiting their area of application. In order to provide a solution for these problems, Sherpa Mobile Robotics (SMR), a company within the innovation branch of NORCAN, has partnered with Devea to develop a mobile, autonomous disinfection system in the form of a Sherpa robot, equipped with an innovative but proven spraying device which generates a dry mist. The ASD is compliant with the NFT 72-281 version 2014 standard, and the virucide, based on hydrogen peroxide, has an MA (marketing authorisation), guaranteeing its 99.99% effectiveness against viruses. It is currently the only device of this type certified on the market.
