Beijer Electronics showcases X3 HMI and industrial cybersecurity solutions

Beijer Electronics is set to participate in the upcoming D Forum: Smart Manufacturing Conference, hosted by DIGITIMES, taking place on August 22 at Room 401, Nangang Exhibition Center, Hall 1. Representing the company, Ping Huang, Senior Director of APAC Sales, will deliver a keynote address, sharing practical insights into cybersecurity and digital transformation strategies in industrial automation.

At the forum, Beijer Electronics will showcase its newly launched X3 Series Human-Machine Interface (HMI), built around three core pillars: cybersecurity integration, digitalized control, and remote management. Designed for maximum compatibility, openness, and security, the X3 Series integrates with both iX software and the web-based SCADA platform WebIQ, demonstrating Beijer’s commitment to innovation in industrial digitization and secure automation.

As a trusted provider of safe, stable, and highly integrated industrial automation solutions, Beijer’s portfolio spans HMIs, industrial gateways, remote I/O, controllers, and cloud connectivity. The X3 Series, winner of the 2025 Red Dot Product Design Award, supports both iX and Web development environments, Docker containers, and major PLC communication protocols. Available in sizes ranging from 7" to 21", it is ideal for applications in manufacturing, maritime, energy, and harsh environments.

During the event, Beijer Electronics will highlight international success stories including:
  • PulPac (Sweden) – leveraging X2/X3 to enhance sustainable packaging production;
  • Hyundai Heavy Industries (Korea) – optimizing marine engine control systems with X2 Pro;
  • EnerCorp (USA) – deploying the rugged, ATEX/C1D2-certified X2 Extreme in oil and gas fields for enhanced outdoor automation and safety.
To address the cybersecurity challenges posed by IT/OT convergence, Beijer Electronics is implementing the IEC 62443 industrial cybersecurity standards, with certification for IEC 62443-4-1 expected by the end of the year. The X2 Series supports extended SL1 and DNV SP1 compliance, while the X3 Series is set to meet IEC 62443-4-2 requirements and support SL2 and DNV SP2 levels. Key features include access control, encrypted communication, system integrity, and event logging. Powered by the new OS3 operating system and iX3 software platform, enterprises can benefit from seamless integration with Active Directory, two-factor authentication, and Single Sign-On (SSO), significantly improving both security and user experience.

In addition to the in-person forum, Beijer Electronics will host a live virtual session — “Beijer LIVE Studio” — on August 22 from 11:30 to 12:00. Hosted by Helen Lee, the session will feature Ping Huang sharing real-world perspectives on industrial cybersecurity and smart manufacturing. The session will be livestreamed for those unable to attend in person.

Looking ahead, Beijer Electronics also announces its upcoming joint exhibition with strategic partner Joe Yan Industrial at the 2025 Taipei International Industrial Automation Exhibition, held from August 20 to 23. Located at Booth K-416, the joint display will demonstrate real-world X3 applications in HMI operation, remote monitoring, and cybersecurity integration. Industry professionals are warmly invited to visit and experience the future of smart, secure manufacturing.
