Sigmatek presents Compact Servo Drive for 230V Range

The MDP 2102 from SIGMATEK is a compact 3-axis servo drive with a single-phase 230 V supply that combines maximum control quality, safety integration and flexible system architecture in a highly compact design. A power filter and a power choke are integrated as standard, ensuring EMC-compliant operation.

Perfectly suited for small to medium-sized machine concepts, the combined supply/axis module enables cost-optimized, efficient implementation of demanding drive solutions, even in the commercial sector.

The MDP 2102 is part of the proven DIAS Drive 2000 series and combines three fully-featured servo axes with a continuous current rating of 7 A each (peak current 15 A) in a size of just 75x240x219 mm. The OCT (One Cable Technology) for the motor connection reduces the wiring effort and saves costs. The optional universal encoder supports numerous encoder variants.

With its power input voltage of 230 V AC, the MDP 2102, developed in accordance with UL guidelines, is perfectly suited for worldwide applications in machine building, handling and robotics – especially in regions where no 400 V infrastructure is available.

Integrated Safety – Uncompromisingly Safe
The MDP 2102 meets the highest functional safety requirements and has many safety functions at SIL 3, PL e level as standard – including STO, SS1, SS2, SLS (Safely Limited Speed), SOS (Safe Operation Stop) and SBC (Safe Brake Control). All safety functions can be easily configured in the LASAL SAFETYDesigner development environment and enable the convenient implementation of safe machine movements.

Like all SIGMATEK servo drives, the MDP 2102 operates with a controller cycle time of just 62.5 μs, which enables precise current, speed and position control – even in highly dynamic applications. Communication with the control unit takes place via real-time Ethernet, which minimizes latency times and maximizes synchronization.
