VIA Unveils Two NVIDIA Jetson-Powered Edge AI PCs for AMRs, AGVs & Industrial Automation

VIA Technologies announced the launch of two new NVIDIA Jetson-powered systems, the VIA AMOS-9100 for Autonomous Mobile Robots (AMRs) and Automated Guided Vehicles (AGVs), and the VIA AMOS-9000 for factory safety and automation. Both of these fanless systems feature the same compact aluminum chassis, designed to provide advanced AI performance, robust connectivity, and durability for industrial automation and edge AI applications.

VIA AMOS-9100
The VIA AMOS-9100 is designed for Autonomous Mobile Robots (AMRs) and Automated Guided Vehicles (AGVs). Powered by the 2.0 GHz NVIDIA Jetson Orin NX processor, it delivers up to 70 TOPS of AI performance using the NVIDIA Deep Learning Accelerator (NVDLA), enabling efficient handling of data-intensive workloads. The system supports advanced video processing capabilities, including 8K video decoding and 4K encoding, and offers flexible connectivity options such as optional LoRa wireless connectivity for long-range communication. Additionally, dual Gigabit Ethernet ports with optional Power over Ethernet (PoE) support enable seamless integration into diverse industrial networks and infrastructure.
VIA AMOS-9000
The VIA AMOS-9000 is built for factory safety, automation, and inspection tasks, providing a reliable platform for industrial applications. It features the NVIDIA Jetson Orin Nano Hexa-Core processor with up to 40 TOPS of AI performance and supports a wide range of digital I/O options for versatile connectivity. The system includes advanced video processing capabilities, such as 4K video decoding and 1080p encoding, making it well-suited for machine vision, monitoring, and visual inspection tasks. Additionally, the VIA AMOS-9000 offers dual RS-232/422/485 COM ports for seamless integration with industrial equipment, enabling efficient communication and control in complex operational environments.
