Baumüller presents new three-phase synchronous motor DS4
The motor is up to 20 percent more compact than the DS2 and offers an extended nominal torque range.
The DS4 is a new generation of performance-optimized main drives. The motor is up to 20 percent more compact than the DS2 and offers an extended nominal torque range. This makes the three-phase synchronous motor suitable for applications in numerous industries.
The motor has a high efficiency of over 95 percent and a low carbon footprint. This is due to the reduced use of material resulting from the very compact structure. It also reduces the overall size of the machine.
The motors will be available in various construction lengths. This increases scalability and gives customers the option to reduce motor sizes or optimize their design.
The improved dynamics also increase productivity and ensure that machine movements can be carried out more quickly.
Apart from using new motors, the changeover from DS2-132 to DS4-132 motors is also very easy to do, since the mechanical interfaces are virtually identical.
