VECOW AND SOLECTRIX PARTNER TO ACCELERATE AI-BASED VISION APPLICATIONS
The companies aims to develop a high-performance plug-and-play unit that will significantly speed up crucial development steps in the early phase of imaging projects.
Vecow Co., Ltd. announced its partnership with Solectrix, a German provider of high-end electronics solutions. The two companies are collaborating on a solution that pairs the Vecow RCX-2000 PEG AI Computing System to Solectrix’s Rapid Imaging Prototyping System SXIVE, a software-based Image Signal Processing (soft ISP) platform, with an NVIDIA® GeForce® RTX 3060 Ti GPU and a Solectrix proFRAME 3.0 video grabber added. The result is the SXIVE Bundle HP, a high-performance plug-and-play unit that will significantly speed up crucial development steps in the early phase of imaging projects.
Vecow RCX-2000 PEG is a workstation-grade AI computing system. It is powered by the 11th Gen Intel® Xeon®/Core™ i7/i5 Processor (Rocket Lake-S) and integrated with NVIDIA®/Tesla®/Quadro®/GeForce®/AMD Radeon™ Graphics, providing advanced AI computing capability and flexibility for PCIe expansion. The RCX-2000 PEG supports 3-slot and full-length graphics cards, with a reliable power budget of up to 750W for multiple PCIe expansions. Featuring all the I/O on one side of the unit and multiple SIM sockets for 5G/WiFi 6/4G/3G/LTE/GPRS/UMTS wireless connections, the RCX-2000 PEG offers a user-friendly design and ensures reliable system operation. It is ideally suited for Edge AI applications, including High-speed AOI, Rolling Stock, 3D Mapping, In-vehicle Computing, Autonomous Driving, Medical Imaging, and any AIoT/Industry 4.0 applications.
SXIVE (Simplified eXtensive Image and Video Engine) by Solectrix is a comprehensive image processing ecosystem consisting of the actual image processing software, a frame grabber board, hardware accelerators, and a variety of apps and plugins. It enables image processing professionals to practice rapid prototyping as well as real-time processing and analysis of images and video streams, including those from newly developed image sensors with unprecedented features. With its flexible architecture, SXIVE can be tailored to the requirements of any imaging project, making it possible to replace hardware components or implement new requirements over the course of the project without having to change the development environment.
The partnership will provide imaging projects with a functional and configurable demonstrator from day one, enabling easy evaluation of sensors, the image signal processing chain and other demanding image processing algorithms. The system can serve as a bridge between prototype and series and it is suitable for acceptance tests. The collaboration enables Edge AI applications in High-speed AOI, Rolling Stock, 3D Mapping, In-vehicle Computing, Autonomous Driving, Medical Imaging, and any AIoT/Industry 4.0 applications.
