Mouser is now shipping the WBZ451 Curiosity Board for prototyping wireless applications
Mouser Electronics is now stocking the WBZ451 Curiosity Board from Microchip Technology, providing engineers with an efficient and versatile development platform for prototyping IoT applications.
The Microchip Technology WBZ451 Curiosity Board, available from Mouser Electronics, is designed for prototyping and demonstrating the capabilities of Microchip's WBZ451PE Bluetooth® Low Energy and Zigbee® RF module. The WBZ451PE module is integrated into the board, and its signals are easily accessible through the onboard features. The WBZ451 Curiosity Board comes preconfigured with an out-of-the-box, multi-protocol demo application with a temperature sensor, a current measurement header and an RGB LED.
The WBZ451 Curiosity Board offers integrated programming and debugging features using the PICkit™ Onboard 4 (PKOB4) debugger interface and requires only a micro-USB cable to power up and program the board. The WBZ451 Curiosity Board also includes a mikroBUS™ Click™ header, which helps users to expand functionalities by connecting to various MikroElectronika, mikroBUS™ click boards™.
The PIC32CX-BZ2 and WBZ45 family is a series of low-cost, general-purpose 32-bit microcontrollers and modules for wireless applications. The PIC32CX-BZ2 microcontrollers support multi-protocol wireless interfaces (Bluetooth and Zigbee) and have a hardware-based security accelerator, transceiver and power management unit (PMU). The RF-certified WBZ45 modules combine the PIC32CX-BZ2 wireless microcontrollers with either a PCB or u.FL connector for external antennas.
