Cybertronic drive solutions and digital intelligence

The WITTENSTEIN group will present innovative technologies and cybertronic motion systems for demanding applications in industrial automation at SPS 2026, taking place in Nuremberg from November 24 to 26, 2026.

Core technology and system architecture
At the center of the planned exhibition will be customized drive solutions that combine standardized platforms with high customer-specific solution competence. The SP+ HIGH SPEED Generation 3 precision gearbox series will feature continuous speeds twice as high as the standard, alongside improved controllability and optimized thermal behavior. In addition, the Galaxie GA series will expand application possibilities through an upstream spur gear stage, allowing industrial motors and gearbox variants to be integrated compactly while fully preserving the central hollow shaft. The cyber dynamic actuator R servo actuator in size 60 will offer torques of up to 64 Nm in a compact design for applications with limited installation space. Furthermore, baramundi software will demonstrate a solution combining Unified Endpoint Management and Proactive Endpoint Operations, while WITTENSTEIN high integrity systems will present the safety-related real-time operating system SAFERTOS for safety-critical embedded systems.

Deployment or implementation
The drive solutions will be developed in close dialogue with customers to combine technology and application expertise. The systems are designed for seamless integration into existing machine architectures and will support end-to-end software and safety standards.

Industrial applications
The technologies to be showcased will target industries such as industrial automation, automotive, aerospace, medical technology, and railway transportation. Potential application areas include complex motion applications and mechatronic movement systems in machines requiring high performance, manageability, and integration capabilities.

Operational impacts and performance metrics
The new gearbox and actuator systems are designed to enable more compact machines, higher-performing drive systems, increased productivity, and improved operational safety. The safety-related real-time operating system SAFERTOS will support companies with certification, compliance, and audit activities related to regulatory requirements such as the EU Cyber Resilience Act through a Design Assurance Pack.
