Beckhoff expands its portfolio with the new CX82xx and CX9240 Embedded PC series, bringing significantly higher computing performance to ultra-compact controls. Both product lines are built on the modern ARM Cortex™-A53 processor architecture, delivering more power without increasing the physical footprint.
The CX82xx series introduces a dual-core ARM Cortex-A53 CPU running at 1.2 GHz, providing 64-bit processing and enhanced performance at the same low power consumption as previous models. Despite the upgrade, the devices retain an ultra-compact format of 71 × 100 × 73 mm (W × H × D). The series also integrates a 1 Gbit Ethernet interface and 2 × 1 GB LPDDR4 RAM, doubling available memory for demanding applications.
Building on the CX9020 platform, the new CX9240 Embedded PC takes performance even further with a quad-core ARM Cortex-A53 CPU, also clocked at 1.2 GHz. Still compact at 84 × 100 × 91 mm, it delivers faster processing, two independent 1 Gbit Ethernet interfaces, and 2 GB LPDDR4 RAM—doubling the memory of its predecessor to meet the needs of more complex automation and control tasks.
Together, the CX82xx and CX9240 series enable machine builders and automation engineers to implement more powerful, scalable, and compact control solutions across a wide range of applications.
