Five years ago, Vision Components presented the first MIPI cameras for industrial series applications. Today, the manufacturer from Ettlingen in Germany offers more than 20 different image sensors as MIPI modules.

Vision Components will present its products for efficient embedded vision designs, highlighting solutions based on the powerful and fast MIPI interface.

The highlight is the hardware accelerator VC Power SoM, which completes complex image processing calculations and transfers the results directly to a processor board.

At Photonics West (San Francisco, January 28 – February 2), Vision Components will be showcasing new MIPI camera modules and components that make the integration of embedded vision even faster, easier and more cost-efficient.

Vision Components will host two webinars on 24 January, demonstrating the operation and integration of autonomous angle measurement in metal processing. Thanks to the integrated processor, the sensor directly outputs the workpiece angle in degrees.

At the EuroBLECH tradeshow Vision Components (booth 12-A02) will showcase its tested and proven laser profiler for angle measurement and inline control of sheet metal bending processes.

Vision Components launches the new OEM laser profiler VC picoSmart 3D with integrated processors for 3D profile data analysis and further image processing tasks. All components are designed to function together perfectly: a miniaturized embedded vision system with a 1-megapixel image sensor, an FPGA and a high-end FPU processor and a line laser module with a blue high-power laser.
