HMS to offer the Netbiter remote management solution under the eWON® brand

As of October 3rd, HMS Industrial Networks will offer the Netbiter Remote Management solution under the newly acquired brand name eWON®. Alongside eWON Cosy and Flexy, Netbiter will be one of the three main product lines within the eWON Remote Solutions offering.

HENGSTLER

ACURO® AX73 completes Hengstler’s range of ATEX-rated absolute rotary encoders

The new Hengstler ACURO® AX73 is a class-leading optical encoder offering attributes such as ease of installation, high precision and compact dimensions. In addition, the introduction of the AX73 completes the company’s comprehensive family of ATEX-rated absolute rotary encoders, both optical and magnetic. Equipment designers now have an unprecedented choice for a host of hazardous environment components.

Anybus Wireless Bolt — Connecting devices wirelessly

HMS Industrial Networks now introduces The Anybus Wireless Bolt — a wireless access point designed to be mounted on a machine or cabinet to give it wireless access via WLAN, Bluetooth or Bluetooth Low Energy. This access makes it possible to do configuration via a regular tablet or smartphone or connect to a cloud service, realizing Industrial IoT.

Steute

Compact and extremely robust

For sub-zero applications: New Ex position switch for use in temperatures down to -60°C

Time synchronization in the nanosecond range with IXXAT software

Adding to the existing and proven IXXAT IEEE 1588 solutions, HMS now presents protocol software for IEEE 802.1AS – the first commercially available software package for highly accurate time synchronization of AVB and TSN networks.

New “edge gateways” from HMS enable communication between IT-systems and the factory floor

HMS Industrial Networks now introduces yet another gateway family for the Industrial Internet of Things. The new Anybus .NET gateways enable real-time data from industrial machinery to be presented to .NET-based IT applications. This means that .NET programmers can get data directly from a PLC system on the other side of “the edge” to be used in applications for statistics, analysis or maintenance. The first .NET gateways are available for PROFIBUS and PROFINET.

New IIoT gateways from HMS allow industrial equipment to communicate with power grids

HMS Industrial Networks now introduces a new family of Industrial IoT gateways for Smart Grid applications. The Anybus SG-gateways enable communication between industrial applications and energy protocols. This communication is the very basis for the so called “Smart Grid” where power plants and energy equipment are interacting with industrial applications. The SG-gateways are yet another example of how HMS realizes the Industrial Internet of Things.

Steute

Ex HS 98 position switches with analogue output for Ex zones 1 and 21

The Ex HS 98 position switch, which the steute business division "Extreme" has demonstrated at the SPS IPC Drives, sets itself apart from all other Ex position switches in the comprehensive steute range due to one very striking feature. Instead of using conventional "on/off" technology, it emits an analogue signal which corresponds to the position of the actuator or plunger, detected by an integrated Hall sensor. Depending on the variant chosen, the sensor supplies the output signal in one of the three established standards 0 … 20 mA, 4 … 20 mA or 0 … 10 V.

Steute

sWave.NET: wireless switchgear and networks

At the SPS IPC Drives, the steute business division "Wireless" has presented not only its new wireless switchgear, but also a completely new platform for the integration of wireless switchgear in user IT structures.

New ways to interconnect the PROFI-world

Automation engineers frequently need to bridge the gap between different protocols and networks used in a plant, but they also need to enable communication between equipment within the same network family. For example, in the PROFINET and PROFIBUS-world, there are many devices and sub-systems that cannot necessarily communicate with each other. It may be necessary to connect different physical formats such as copper and fiber optics or couple/de-couple I/O data between two controlling networks. With their recently upgraded Anybus X-gateways, HMS Industrial Networks can offer ways to get heterogeneous PROFI-equipment connected.
