Resilient, fanless, GPU-accelerated: these are the requirements for AI-focused computers on the production line, in development, in the field and under extreme conditions. Or deep learning, object recognition and video analysis brought directly to the road, robust, compact and independent of the cloud.
To meet these challenges, the new SEMIL-2000GC combines the uncompromising robustness of a fully enclosed IP67 industrial system with the computing power of the latest Nvidia RTX GPUs – ideal for demanding applications in the fields of autonomous driving, industrial image processing, mobile robotics, smart cities, surveillance or edge AI in IIoT. Certified according to EN 50155, the controller can also be used in rail vehicles and in an extended temperature range from -40 to +70 °C.
The new SEMIL-2000GC aims to deliver computing power where other systems fail. In harsh environments where dust, humidity, strong vibrations or extreme temperatures prevail, the need for reliable computing power for AI-driven applications is greater than ever.
As one of the first systems in its class, the SEMIL-2000GC integrates an RTX A2000 from Nvidia or, optionally, an RTX A4500 with up to 130 W TDP as its GPU – completely passively cooled. Integration is via an MXM graphics slot, which enables long-lasting and vibration-protected operation even in mobile environments. The GPU is supported by an Intel processor from the Xeon E or Core i7/i5/i3 series of the 9th or 8th generation (LGA1151), paired with up to 64 GB of DDR4 memory. This combination allows performance-intensive parallel calculations, such as for AI inference, deep learning, object recognition or predictive maintenance, directly at the point of action. All this without detours via the cloud and with virtually no latency.
The M12 connectors, which are accessible from the front for efficient configuration changes, protect against weather, dust and vibration. The system, housed in a robust aluminium enclosure with a standard 19-inch width, is fully dustproof and waterproof in accordance with IP67 and can be reliably used in a temperature range from -40 to +70 °C. The shock- and vibration-resistant design also complies with MIL-STD-810G, making the SEMIL-2000GC the ideal choice for vehicle applications or outdoor use, such as on construction sites, in trains, for drone control or even military applications.
For quick and easy integration, the SEMIL-2000GC offers a variable power supply from 8 to 48 VDC, remote on/off switching, isolated digital I/Os and optional extensions via M.2 and Mini-PCIe slots, for example for WLAN, LTE or 5G. Two independent SSDs can be operated in the internal RAID. The patented thermal design keeps the hardware reliably cool even under full load, without moving parts and therefore maintenance-free.
The SEMIL-2000GC is an example of how modern computing power, GPU acceleration and industrial reliability can be combined in a single device through high manufacturing quality. The target audience includes OEMs, system integrators and operators who require maximum data processing capacity directly at the point of origin under dynamic, unstable or demanding conditions – for example, for real-time object recognition, video analysis, environmental data evaluation or autonomous navigation.
