Automation specialist LÜTZE, based in Weinstadt, Germany, is expanding its LEPOS family of 24 V power supplies with three compact, single-phase Low Power devices with outputs of 20 W, 60 W, and 100 W. The new primary-switched LEPOS power supplies in robust plastic housings have been specially developed for space- and cost-optimized applications in machine and plant engineering. The units impress with their high reliability, simple integration into cabinet layouts, and excellent cost-performance ratio – ideal for series-built control cabinets in industrial automation.
The new LEPOS Low Power units offer maximum flexibility for global cabinet applications thanks to their wide input range (AC 90–264 V / DC 127–370 V). The adjustable DC 24 V output is available in three performance levels: 20 W (1.0 A), 60 W (2.5 A), or 100 W (4 A). An integrated automatic input voltage switch between AC 115 V and AC 230 V allows the units to be used in various grid systems worldwide without manual selection – a key benefit for internationally deployed control panels. With efficiency ratings of 84 % to 88 % and extremely low no-load losses (<0.75 W or 1 W), these power supplies fulfill current energy efficiency and cabinet thermal management requirements. Built-in protective functions, including short-circuit current limitation and overload protection (130 %–150 % for up to 3 seconds), provide high operational safety for downstream electronics and loads. This ensures smooth operation and reduces failure risks in automated environments.
The integrated DC monitoring with potential-free normally open contacts enables easy status checking. A green LED reliably indicates proper DC output in the voltage range from DC 22 to 30 V. The LEPOS Low Power devices are designed for parallel and redundant operation and can be easily connected to other devices using an external decoupling diode, such as the LÜTZE Part. No. 722999. This makes the power supplies suitable for both standard applications and high-availability systems. With housing widths of just 23 mm, 41 mm, and 55 mm, these compact power supplies help optimize DIN rail space and reduce cabinet size. Tool-free installation is possible via the snap-on mechanism for TS35 DIN rails according to EN 60715, allowing for fast integration into cabinet layouts.
About the LÜTZE LEPOS and COMPACT power supplies series
For many years, LÜTZE has been offering a reliable solution in the form of its high-end COMPACT power supplies series, which is used worldwide in numerous applications and control cabinets.
Building on this long-standing experience in the field of power supply, LÜTZE introduced the LEPOS entry-level series in fall 2024. It was specifically developed to enable cost-efficient power supply without compromising reliability. The LEPOS family previously comprised four model series: Basic, High Performance, Wide Range, and Power, and now the new Low Power model series.
