Wireless command device for sWave.NET® network
At the SPS IPC Drives 2016, the steute Wireless business unit has presented the latest version of its wireless command device RF BF 74-NET. What distinguishes it from its predecessor is the possibility to integrate it in an sWave.NET® wireless network. This means: the wireless command devices can simply be positioned in the field or near the machine. They then communicate not with a receiver unit inside the control cabinet, but with the nearest access points within the wireless network, available in three frequency ranges (868, 915 and 922 MHz) and thus applicable around the world.
This new version still adheres to the tried-and-tested modular system: the wireless command devices are designed to be configurable at will. Switching inserts and differently coloured push button caps can be combined with various push buttons, key switches and rocker switches. Users can select housings in versions for one, two or three switches. This is easiest online via the configurator located on the steute website.
These numerous options of the RF BF 74 series – in combination with the wireless network technology – create the prerequisite for flexible application in many different areas of industrial and building technology.
Mounting of these command devices is also uncomplicated: users do not have to lay any cables, but only attach the housing to the wall or the machine. The command device, in teach-in mode, is then linked up to the sWave.NET® wireless network in a few simple steps.
