MVTec Software GmbH will be presenting itself and its software MVTec MERLIC at the SPS - Smart Production Solutions trade fair in Nuremberg, Germany, from November 12 to 14, 2024, in hall 6, booth 351.
This year’s trade fair appearance is themed “MERLIC - your machine vision software for factory automation”. “With the larger booth, we want to increase our visibility at the trade fair. We are convinced that the level of automation in factories still offers considerable potential for improvement. Machine vision is the key component for more efficient production. With MERLIC, we provide just the right software for this,” explains Ulf Schulmeyer, Product Manager MERLIC at MVTec. MVTec will be presenting the new version 5.6 of MERLIC at SPS. The release, which will be available this fall, offers enhanced connectivity with PLCs as well as new deep learning technologies.

The new version MERLIC 5.6 was released on October 16, 2024. At its booth, MVTec will demonstrate how MERLIC, as a hardware-independent machine vision software, can be integrated into an even wider range of process environments. “A plug-in now also enables simple communication with Siemens SIMATIC S7 PLCs. Furthermore, we have added new functionalities to the existing plug-in for the REST API.
