MVTec Showcases Latest Machine Vision Innovations at VISION 2024

At Booth 8C56 in Hall 8, the company is presenting its software products MVTec HALCON, MVTec MERLIC, and the MVTec Deep Learning Tool, and offering a preview of new versions coming out in the fall of 2024. In addition, vivid demonstration setups will introduce the powerful technologies to visitors to the booth and show them what added value these technologies bring to the different industries.

“We consider VISION in Stuttgart to be one of the most important trade shows of the year, giving us an opportunity to show the benefits and advantages of our software products to visitors at our booth. This year our focus will be on demonstrating how our software can be used to automate almost all machine vision tasks. We combine this with the presentation of our innovations and further developments. We are bundling our diverse messages under the trade fair motto 'Our powerful software for all your machine vision needs',” says Dr. Olaf Munkelt, Managing Director of MVTec Software GmbH.

MVTec software products: Always the latest machine vision technologies
"For the first time, at VISION, we will be presenting a preview version of HDevelopEvo, our completely redesigned integrated development environment HDevelop. We would like to unveil this innovation to all customers and interested parties and gather initial feedback. We will also be introducing the new versions of our software products HALCON and MERLIC, which will be both released in fall. Customers can look forward to numerous new features as well as improved and simplified usability. Deep learning will once again be a major topic," explains Dr. Maximilian Lückenhaus, Director Marketing + Business Development at MVTec.

In addition to presenting the latest technologies, the focus will be on the added value of the MVTec software products for customers. This also includes great flexibility when selecting hardware. At the booth, visitors will learn how they can easily integrate MVTec software into various production environments. This integration enables responding flexibly to requirements in production as well as creating the optimal machine vision application and even scaling it as needed.

At VISION Stuttgart, MVTec also highlights the extremely wide range of applications for its software products. Thanks to the multitude of available technologies like matching, code-reading, 2D & 3D vision methods, or deep learning technologies, to name just a few, almost all machine vision applications can be implemented, regardless of the particular industry.

MVTec demos illustrate a wide range of applications
At the booth, demos will illustrate how MVTec's software can be used profitably in battery and semiconductor production. One demo will show companies how the MERLIC software algorithm can be integrated in the Siemens Industrial Edge Ecosystem and which applications customers will be able to implement. Another demo will be showcasing the technology "Global Context Anomaly Detection". This technology is capable of reliably mastering inspection tasks that were previously almost impossible to solve by detecting logical and global as well as local defects. There will also be a separate area at the trade fair booth where the preview version of HDevelopEvo will be presented and interested parties can talk to MVTec expert.

In addition to the demos, there is also the possibility for visitors to attend live demonstrations of the MVTec software. MVTec also offers the MVApplication Tour during which participants visit the booths of partner companies demonstrating MVTec software and are guided by an expert who explains the distinctive features of each demo. MVTec is also part of VISION Guided Tours 2024, which are organized by Messe Stuttgart.
