Suction zones and sealing strips are typically inaccessible inside the suction roll. This technology ensures constant adjustment and minimizes downtime for maintenance of the suction roll. The ability to permanently adjust the roller correctly increases dewatering and saves resources. By positioning the suction box in the forming roller, it is possible to influence the dry content of the paper web by 1 to 2%.

“With the perfect setting, we maximize dewatering and achieve a high dry content. When the suction rolls are optimally adjusted, tension is maintained and the paper web is guided precisely through the machine. The optimal setting is the greatest challenge and requires a high level of expertise, as you cannot see into the suction roller. The suction zones are limited by sealing strips and format limiters. Both are not visible and can only be identified by markings on the guide side. The suction roller casing covers the suction box, so the sealing strips are also not visible.
