FANUC SHOWCASES ROBOT AND COBOT SOLUTIONS AT ASSEMBLY
FANUC America will showcase its latest robot and cobot solutions at the Assembly Show, Oct. 24-26 in Rosemont, IL in booth #621.
FANUC Collaborative Robots
FANUC’s series of CRX collaborative robots are reliable, flexible, and can work for up to eight years without maintenance. Easy-to-use interactive programming allows operators to teach points using hand guidance or a Tablet TP with drag-and-drop icons.
FANUC CRX-5iA Gear Assembly
The CRX-5iA cobot, featuring a 5kg payload and 994mm reach will pick and assemble small gears using integrated force control. First, the CRX-5iA will pick short and tall gears from a stack. Using the “touch skip” feature, the cobot will determine the height of each gear. Next, the CRX-5iA will assemble the selected gear using the integrated force control’s “Phase search” function.
FANUC CRX-10iA Assembly with the Power Motion i-Model A
A CRX-10iA with the Power Motion i-Model A (PMi-A) will simulate brake rotor assembly. The PMi-A moves parts into position for the CRX, presses a simulated rivet into the part, and performs a quality inspection of the rivet press. The demonstration shows the versatility of the CRX cobot combined with the PMi-A, a high-performance and scalable general motion control supporting applications that require one to 32 axes.
The PMi-A, which offers CNC-style motion control for automated assembly and other applications, integrates seamlessly into virtually any production system using an ethernet connection for easy communication between robots and machines. Users who trust FANUC’s reliable control and servo technology and overall support for machine tools, can expect the same performance and value in general-purpose motion control.
SCARA Robot Demonstration
FANUC’s latest SR-3iA/U SCARA robot will use iRVision® 3DV/200 and will showcase its latest robot and cobot solutions at the Assembly Show, Oct. 24-26 in Rosemont, IL in booth #621. iRPickTool to pick various parts from a moving circular conveyor. The robot passes each part above a 2D iRVision camera to inspect on-the-fly to determine if each part is a pass/fail.
The SR-3iA/U ceiling mount SCARA robot has a 3kg payload and 350 mm reach. Featuring a full 360-degree work envelope with no dead zones, the robot can access any point within its reach.
A FANUC SR-12iA robot with the Environmental Option will pack and unpack trays of medical vials into a bin, and then pick up and transfer a full bin to demonstrate the SR-12iA’s payload capability. The SR-12iA robot with the Environmental Option includes white epoxy coating, bellow covers, anti-rust bolts and seals, and an IP65 rating to withstand dust and liquids.
FANUC’s line of four-axis SCARA robots includes the SR-3iA/U and the SR-3iA/C and SR-6iA/C cleanroom variants. Additional SCARA robots include the SR-3iA, SR-6iA, SR-12iA, and SR-20iA with 3kg, 6kg, 12kg and 20kg payload capacities, and a 400-1,100mm reach, respectively. The higher-payload SR-12iA and SR-20iA SCARAs each offer a large vertical stroke and an IP65 environmental option for harsh conditions.
