Antaira Wired Router Optimized for Industrial Automation with Support for 1:1 NAT
Antaira has released its new wired router LRX-0200 with 1:1 NAT capability. Using this type of NAT, Control Engineers can translate multiple outside IP addresses into multiple inside IP addresses, allowing full access to all machine networks without the need for duplicate IP addresses.
OEMs often find it advantageous to assign identical IP addresses to similar machines during assembly, since they'll work on more than one of these machines at the same time. Having duplicate IP addresses on a network will cause conflicts so a NAT (Network Address Translation) router can be used to convert the duplicate IP addresses to a more usable number. With this type of translation, all the machines are accessible via the main network.
The LRX-0200 also can act as an OpenVPN client. This permits remote secure connectivity to the machine’s network once deployed remotely, making maintaining the remote machine possible. Featuring two RJ45 Fast Ethernet ports, the LRX-0200 links directly to the machine in one port and to the network in the other with standard twisted pair Ethernet cables. This simple design keeps the cost down while still providing great functionality.
Encased in a rugged and robust IP30 metal housing, the Antaira LRX-0200 is resistant to shock, free fall, and vibration, as well as reverse polarity and overload current. The standard model operates at 0° to 60°C, while an extended temperature model operates at -35° to 70°C. Powering the unit only requires 12~48VDC, with a redundant optional power connection. Versatility is further enhanced by the LRX-0200's ability to be either DIN-Rail or wall mounted.
