KSB TO SHOWCASE NEW IN-LINE PUMPS FOR BUILDING SERVICES APPLICATIONS AT THE ISH TRADE FAIR
As one of the highlights at this year's ISH trade fair (13 to 17 March 2023) in Frankfurt (Main), KSB SE & Co. KGaA is showcasing a new type series of fully integrated in-line water pumps.
KSB SE & Co. KGaA has developed a new type series of fully integrated in-line water pumps. When developing the intelligent and highly efficient EtaLine Pro type series, the developers focussed not only on extremely low energy consumption, but also on the economical use of materials.
By using a hydraulic system designed for high speeds, the developers were able to achieve a very compact design.
The magnets used in the motors are classic ferrite magnets, so they do not contain any rare earths, which cause great environmental damage during their extraction. The motor rating ranges from 0.8 to 2.6 kW. With their wide voltage range of 380 to 480 volts at 50 or 60 Hz, the pump sets can be used worldwide.
The new units offer a high degree of planning reliability, as they have several pump functions, such as Dynamic Control, sensorless control and multiple pump operation, as well as heat quantity measurement. These intelligent functions allow adjustments to be made to the operation or operating points even after the pumps have been installed.
The pumps and the mechanical seals are designed for operating pressures up to 16 bar. As standard, the pumps are fitted with mechanical seals selected for a maximum operating temperature of 120 °C, depending on the application and the fluid handled. A cathodic e-coating of the cast casings provides the necessary corrosion protection.
When designing the new type series, the developers paid particular attention to great ease of service. Standardised mechanical seals and a reduced variety of components, combined with an extensive global service network, ensure rapid availability of spare parts when needed.
