Build a Better Camera with FRAMOS

FRAMOS, a global supplier of custom vision solutions and imaging components, will showcase the newest trends in embedded vision technology and the latest solutions from its global partners at embedded world, taking place June 21-23 in Nuremberg, Germany. Located at booth 2-555 in Hall 2, visitors will learn how to build a better camera system with FRAMOS.

Build a Better Camera with FRAMOS

The latest vision technologies and best-in-class solutions under one roof: "See the Difference" at embedded world in Nuremberg in Hall 2 at FRAMOS Booth 2-555. To enable this, FRAMOS experts have prepared specific subject areas and exciting running demos showcasing the latest technology and various partner boards.

On the show floor, FRAMOS will demonstrate its ability to integrate Sony’s premium sensor technology across a multi-platform ecosystem. Products from leading embedded platforms will be on display, streaming live HD images that illustrate how FRAMOS can support the most innovative platforms, such as NVIDIA Jetson, XILINX Kria, Renesas RZ/v2m, and Texas Instruments Jacinto. Showcasing partner demos, FRAMOS will unlock new imaging possibilities for their customers looking for a turnkey imaging solution. In addition, there will be an NVIDIA Jetson zone, where several demos will bring emerging technologies to life: ToF 3D Depth Maps, a new development kit for event-based vision sensors (EVS), as well as the Next-Gen GMSL3 interface, all running on Nvidia’s Jetson Platform, makes vision applications more accessible to technology companies or camera builders.

Subject Areas from Component Selection to Series Production
FRAMOS will illustrate how they help at every stage of a customer’s full development process at their booth. Typically, a project starts with the careful selection of standard components, such as image sensors or lenses, and then often leads to specific developments tailored to the respective application. Visitors to this year's embedded world tradeshow will therefore be taken on a very special journey – from component selection to development (prototyping), to mass production (manufacturability) – with concrete examples of how FRAMOS helps at each milestone.

In the first area, visitors can experience the latest imaging components from the Sony product portfolio, including the latest sensors with SLVS-EC solutions, Spresense microcontroller boards with LTE support, and MOLED image display products. In the next station, visitors will learn how to get started right away with the FRAMOS Sensor Module Ecosystem and the embedded vision standard kits. These kits, which include EMVA-1288 certified sensor modules, lenses, drivers, and adapters, are designed to take vision projects from concept to mass production quickly and easily. Customers will benefit from a one-stop-shop as FRAMOS supports them with everything from optics selection to creating custom-designed modules that are built in a dedicated Vision production facility, ensuring a high level of quality.

Finally, FRAMOS will highlight their camera system production capabilities in a separate manufacturing podium. Here, customers will learn how FRAMOS optimizes its engineering and production teams under one roof by showcasing product examples that illustrate how FRAMOS supports customers from concept to mass production. The entire storyline at the booth will be supported by partner presentations and exciting product demos, illustrating the latest technology running on various partner processor platforms.

Leading Edge Live Vision Demos
In the NVIDIA zone, FRAMOS will be showing demos of various trendsetting technologies, such as Sony's IMX570 Time of Flight sensor. Also highlighted are high resolution, accuracy, small format vision application examples. Sony’s IMX636 event-based sensor technology on the NVIDIA Jetson platform will be on display. FRAMOS’s support staff will be on-hand to illustrate how these sensors can be used in unique solutions, such as industrial automation and IoT & monitoring, when high-speed, high-precision data acquisition is critical to improve capture performance.

FRAMOS is one the first companies in the vision market to integrate the new GMSL3 technology in embedded vision environments with its live demo in action on the booth. The SerDes solution integrates seamlessly into the existing FRAMOS Sensor Module Ecosystem. Camera developers can flexibly use FRAMOS Sensor Modules (FSM) to validate a variety of image sensors in the lab and in the field with the GMSL3 interface transmitting high frame rates (4K, 90 fps) as far as 14 m with unprecedented efficiency and reliability.

Welcome to FRAMOS: Visit us in Hall 2 at Booth 2-555
FRAMOS will present several live demos along with a wide range of products and solutions at embedded world. The team is looking forward to welcoming visitors and to providing insights into their comprehensive range of solutions. Furthermore, visitors should include a lecture by Dr. Frederik Schönebeck, Head of Custom Solutions at FRAMOS: "Integration of embedded vision: towards plug and play" into their plans for the show. He will present integration examples of components into embedded vision devices, while highlighting many of the common pitfalls encountered during this process. The lecture will take place as part of the podium discussions jointly organized by the VDMA and the trade fair on Wednesday, June 22, from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at the Ausstellerforum in Hall 2.
