Eaton’s new TFX remote monitoring system enables data-driven decisions that improve machine uptime and productivity
Power management company Eaton today announced the launch of its new TFX remote monitoring system, which provides fleet and equipment managers with a comprehensive view into machine location and performance.
The system allows users to customize a telematics solution to perfectly suit an application, whether a single machine or a fleet.
Capable of over-the-air programming, the TFX allows the device and other connected hardware such as the Eaton HFX controller to be updated remotely. With this functionality, the TFX system enables smart, connected hydraulics with benefits that include:
• Seamless integration with both Eaton and non-Eaton components, providing complete information on machine health
• Compact design and IP67 environmental rating suited for the rugged environment of mobile off-highway equipment
• Flexible and configurable to meet the needs of a particular machine or an entire fleet
• Secure development approach that helps manage cybersecurity risks and protect the availability and integrity of the machine
“We’re working to build a future where heavy equipment software updates can be achieved with the press of a button, and data-enabled maintenance decisions make unplanned downtime a thing of the past,” said Jiri Foukner, Product Manager – EMEA, Mobile Hydraulic Advanced Controls, ProFX electronics & Steering. “The new TFX system is designed to give fleet and equipment managers a comprehensive view of their machines. Anything connected to a machine’s CAN bus can be pulled into the TFX system, helping end users make smarter maintenance and management decisions.”
The TFX system is Pro-FX Ready and can easily be integrated with other Eaton Pro-FX Ready products. It is available with a variety of hardware and data plan options that scale to meet the needs of the job, including partial-year data options for seasonal equipment.
The TFX gateway and portal are both configurable, allowing end users to customize what data is gathered and how it is visualized, even on a mixed-brand fleet with multiple telematics systems.
