SAFE showcases biomethane and hydrogen compression technologies at EXPOBIOGAZ and EHEC 2026
At the EXPOBIOGAZ in Lyon, the Italian company will present its new screw compressor for biomethane upgrading plants, and at the EHEC 2026 in Seville will showcase its modular hydrogen infrastructure solutions, together with an operational reference project.
EXPOBIOGAZ 2026 – Lyon (France) | 10-11 March 2026 | Stand 6.1D11
SAFE will take part in EXPOBIOGAZ 2026, France’s leading event dedicated to renewable gas, scheduled in Lyon on 10-11 March 2026. At the show, SAFE will present its solutions for the biomethane value chain, with a particular focus on energy efficiency, operational continuity, and plant modularity. Among the key highlights, the new screw compressor will be showcased: a solution designed as the primary compression stage in upgrading plants, able to handle low suction pressures and high flow rates reliably and continuously, thereby completing SAFE’s product portfolio for biomethane applications.
Riccardo Bagagli, Chief Technology Officer of SAFE S.p.A., states:
“Biomethane is a key vector for decarbonisation because it enables a concrete and immediately scalable transition. With the new screw compressor, we complete our portfolio for upgrading plants: a solution designed to maximise reliability, efficiency and ease of integration, offering customers greater flexibility in plant configurations.”
EHEC 2026 – Seville (Spain) | 11-13 March 2026 | Stand 52 (with Gas Eco H2)
Immediately after Lyon, SAFE will be in Seville for the European Hydrogen Energy Conference (EHEC 2026), taking place from 11 to 13 March 2026, together with partner Gas Eco H2 at Stand 52. On this occasion, SAFE will present its solutions for hydrogen compression, storage and distribution, with specific attention to modular architectures for H2 infrastructures and industrial applications.
During EHEC 2026, SAFE and Gas Eco H2 will also highlight a concrete reference on the territory: the hydrogen refuelling project in the “La Isla” industrial area (Dos Hermanas – Seville), developed by Gas Eco H2. The project integrates advanced production and compression solutions and includes integration with a SAFE HRS already operating on site.
Giovanni Maccini, Sales Director of SAFE S.p.A., states:
“Hydrogen requires reliable and scalable infrastructure: this is where compression makes the difference, in terms of safety, performance and operational continuity. At EHEC, together with Gas Eco H2, we will present solutions designed to enable real-world projects such as La Isla in Seville, where the integration of systems and expertise has already become an application case in the field.”
