The 6h Delta Advanced Automation Design Contest (Delta Cup) was held at Delta’s Wujiang Plant in Jiangsu, China, from July 24-28. This year, the contest adopted the concept of advanced industrial automation development from Industry 4.0 and Smart Manufacturing. Under the theme of “Seeking Smart IIoT Talents”, the competition included three major categories: Innovative Machines, Smart Factory, and Better Future Living. This year, the 79 teams that earned a place in the final contest included 62 teams from China, 8 from Taiwan, 3 from Thailand, 3 from India, 2 from Vietnam, and 1 from the newly participating the Netherlands - Fontys University of Applied Sciences. After the fierce competition, the winners of the Grand Prize, the highest honor, went to three schools, including Fontys University of Applied Sciences from the Netherlands, Sun Yat-sen University from Taiwan, and Shanghai Jiao Tong University from China.
Gartner predicts 80% of businesses will have closed their conventional data centers within the next six years. That’s why the annual Datacenter Dynamics (DCD) España conference, which took place on May 29 in Madrid, focused on how the future of the data center and cloud infrastructure will be built in Spain. As one of the event’s lead sponsors, Delta had a booth and held a presentation that described a unique way to accelerate data center ROI.
Delta, a global provider of smart and energy-efficient industrial automation solutions, today announced it will be demonstrating several smart manufacturing solutions at SPS IPC Drives Italia 2019. The highlight of Delta’s exhibition at the show will be a demonstration of the new CODESYS-based Motion Control Solution, which integrates the control layers of PLCs, HMIs, and motion controllers into one single platform to provide seamless control of a Delta SCARA robot on site. Also on display will be Delta’s DIAEnergie solution, which offers factories and production lines the possibility to enhance their real-time energy consumption monitoring and management capability to the smart manufacturing standard.
Delta, a global provider of smart and energy-efficient industrial automation solutions, will demonstrate its enhanced spectrum of solutions for the digitalization, visualization and integration of smart manufacturing at Hannover Messe 2019. An impressive 220-inch video wall at Delta’s booth will feature the newly-launched Digital Factory Monitoring Solution, which integrates a series of software platforms developed by Delta to determine in real-time the status of manufacturing processes, equipment and energy consumption. The new DIAStudio integrated engineering software enables an all-in-one platform to select models, program and set up PLCs, HMIs, drives and more, allowing for effective and time-efficient machinery systems development. Delta’s new CODESYS-based Motion Control Solution, matched with a Delta SCARA robot, will also be a highlight of our showcase.
Delta, a global provider of power and thermal management solutions, today announced it will showcase a series of energy-efficient power solutions at Power & Electricity World Africa 2019. Among them will be its modular three-phase uninterruptable power supply (UPS) system DPH 500kVA series, which provides the ultimate MW power protection with fully rated power (kVA = kW), while offering industry-leading power density of 50kW in a 3U module. From its range of photovoltaic (PV) inverters, Delta will show the M125HV series, an inverter that boasts peak efficiency up to 99.2% as well as 1500Vdc input voltage, thus, suitable for large-scale solar PV power plants.
