Just before the turn of the years 2022/2023, the drive manufacturer passed the one billion euro sales threshold for the first time, increased its number of employees to 4,900 and opened new production locations worldwide.

Lifting applications place special demands on the installation space for drives. With MAXXDRIVE^® XD, NORD DRIVESYSTEMS has now developed an industrial gear unit with increased centre distance that is ideally suited to the U-shaped configuration of drive, motor and cable drum.

How economic can an investment be? If you take the lifecycle of drive systems, only 15 percent of the Total Cost of Ownership is distributed on the purchase price, around 85 percent result from downstream processes. It is therefore important to not only keep an eye on the investment costs when making a purchase decision but also on the costs for energy and the ongoing operation, i.e. administration processes, service and maintenance, spare parts stocking or disposal.
