Founded in 2003 and based in Barcelona, the European Machine Vision Association (EMVA) is a non-profit industry association representing the European machine vision and imaging technology ecosystem. With around 170 members from over 27 countries, it connects manufacturers, system integrators, distributors, research organisations and academia. EMVA drives industry standardisation through initiatives including GenICam, EMVA 1288, OOCI and emVision, while supporting technology transfer, market intelligence, education and networking. Its activities promote computer vision, embedded vision and industrial imaging across manufacturing, logistics, robotics, medical, transport and other automation markets worldwide.
